A Descriptive Grammar of Sa3i:di Egyptian Colloquial Arabic

This study presents the first descriptive analisis of the structure of saidi صعيدي, the varity of  Egyptian Arabic spoken by the inhabitants of the Nile valley between Cairo and Aswan.

Beside the purpose of describing the phonemic, morphemic and syntax of saidi صعيدي, it is hoped that this study would contribute to dialect studies of the varieties of Arabic spoken in Egypt, and to comparative studies of Arabic dialects.
